Enter THANX15 for 15% OFF!

I reached 1000 sales!!! THANK YOU!!!! I was sending a one-time thank you note and 15% OFF coupon code to everyone who was "hearting" my shop and/or item for 3 days after reaching 1000, but apparently someone didn't want a coupon for 15% off and reported me as "spam" to Etsy. Bummer. I just dunno why people have to be so mean. If you don't want a coupon, ignore it. You don't have to go above my head, report me and ruin it for everyone who'd actually appreciate 15% OFF and a thank you! It's my fault that I wasn't clear on the "spam" policy. So, to those who'd actually like 15% OFF, in addition to FREE SHIPPING, here it is:
THANX15

Here's the cotton fabric I ordered of my peacock design. I'll take a photo when I'm able to of the full thing so apologies for the weird scan. Thank you again for all the support of my work....you're making not working for the man any more a real possibility :).

I'm eagerly and patiently anticipating a major milestone....the 1000th sale. I'm at 999 and I will be giving away an Indian Peacock print to celebrate!

I'll also be honoring a new 15% OFF coupon code for sales after the 1000th:

Fabric Designs

I'm trying out pattern/fabric design via the revolutionary Spoonflower. This is my first attempt and I just ordered a yard of this so I'll update when I receive the finished product :). I'll be gradually adding fabrics, so if you'd like to check out my attempts, go HERE. None of my fabrics are for sale yet, but I may offer them up with convincing ;).

City Blossoms

Some pro bono work (thank you cards) I did for City Blossoms - an amazing nonprofit organization based in Washington D.C. that helps give inner city kids access to green spaces and an opportunity to use their creativity, garden and grow. I wish my schools had one of these when I was growing up!

Sometimes I think I cannot contribute as much as say, a nurse, or teacher, but I do think the arts and culture are influential, impactful, and important and it's truly important to nurture creativity especially when young, before the world sucks it out of us as we grow older. :) If you'd like to learn more about this wonderful and unique organization started by two girls when they were in high school (?!) go here:
